My name is Maddie, and I am so excited to join you on your mental health journey! I am a Registered Psychotherapist. I graduated with a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University and I hold an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from McMaster University.
I have 5+ years of previous counselling experience. This includes working at a youth mental health clinic in Milton, being a Counsellor for Kids Help Phone, and working as an Adventure Therapy Instructor for at-risk-and incarcerated youth with Wendigo Lake Expeditions.
I specialize in Talk Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT); Parts work; Inner Child Work; Walk and Talk Ecotherapy; Solution-Focused Therapy; Play-Based-Therapy, and Systems-Focused Therapy. I am a trained practitioner of the Safe and Sound Protocol which helps to gain a greater sense of safety and resilience in our bodies.
We can spend our therapeutic sessions chatting in nature, doing art together, calming the nervous system listening the Safe and Sound music program, playing therapeutic games, or just sitting back, relaxing, and talking about everything in life.
